A forbidden office romance. She was off limits in more ways than one. So why can't I get her out of my head?
Nicole was stuck in a rut. Marking time in a dead-end job, working for a boss who made life miserable, she was ready for a change even as she'd lost all hope. Even taking on a new intern felt like taking on more of her crazy boss's unwanted work.
Erica wanted to break free. She's lived life in a gilded cage. An heiress who never had any fun because of an overprotective father. Working an internship under a fake name at the company she's expected to take over someday is the last thing she wanted for her last summer before graduating college.
Neither girl thought a simple internship could change their lives. Neither expected sparks to fly. But as supervisor and intern come together in a forbidden office romance they'll find that the one thing they needed to break free was each other!
The Intern A Sweet Lesbian Romance edition by Mia Archer Romance eBooks
Exactly as advertised; a short, sweet romance with a happy ending. Pretty much what I have come to expect from Mia Archer, though I found the intern/CEO's daughter twist less interesting than some of her previous stories.I would have given it five stars, but there are a couple of mistakes here and there -- the main one annoying me as a reader being that information is repeated a couple of times, often after only a few pages. This is a crying shame, seeing as otherwise the editing was decent.
I also found the initial 'meeting' between the main characters a little overdone,, I get that it's supposed to be 'love at first sight' (lust at first sight?) but more of that could have been moved to their first actual meeting rather than just a glance across a busy lobby :)

The Intern A Sweet Lesbian Romance edition by Mia Archer Romance eBooks Reviews
I'm a fan of Ms. Archer's work and this falls in with her newer, romantic themed stories. Meaning not-erotic, so don't be upset if that's what you're expecting. This is a sweet story about two women meeting in the workplace and forced to work together under stressful circumstances. Of course that's not the whole story, and I won't be divulging more.
It's a fun bit of reading with characters you can probably relate to. Worth picking up for a light and easy read.
Having read several books by this Author I must say this is a bit different but still interesting. The Author took the characters from the usual and made them completely different. The characters were flawed which made them great to read about. You see them developing who they are throughout the book which makes you want to root for them but also get frustrated but love them the same. The description of the boss Christine was hilarious and had many funny moments. This book shows you the power of love and how it can transform a timid or even a strong woman and make them so much more. It was about loving and learning someone who opened your eyes to the world out there and to mostly be true to yourself. Overall this book was simple, sweet and funny. I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.
The writing in this book is HORRIBLE. If I see or hear anyone use the phrase "dragon lady" again I'm going to go friggin' crazy. It must have been used 300 times in this book. PICK A DIFFERENT PHRASE ONCE IN A WHILE! This is a recurring problem throughout the book- all of the characters magically use the same 3 expressions even if they've never met and have completely different social circles. The character development is abysmal- the characters think in amazingly similar ways even if they are supposed to be completely different people and have separate identities. I love cheesy romance, and the story on its own is fine so far, but the writing is killing me and making it difficult to finish. Every time I read a bit of it I cringe. Where was the editor on this one??
Very enjoyable.
Trite, poorly written pulp fiction.
It was a good book all around just a few flaws here and there. The thing I didn't like the most though was it seemed to me that it just ended. I feel like there could have been a couple more chapters Unless of course this is a set up for a sequel which I wouldn't mind.
Mia writes such wonderfully exciting lesbian romances, and this one is no exception. On the other hand, this one danced on the edge. HR managers reading this would be flipping out in any of these scenarios. On the other hand, the story, with all of the wonderful Mia Archer twists and turns create an exciting and intense romantic fantasy.
